TRISP: Training and Research in Self Psychology Foundation

The Training and Research in Self Psychology Foundation is dedicated to providing training to clinicians, moderate-cost psychotherapy to the community, and educational programs. It founded in 1987 as the first Self Psychological training institute in the country. Its tradition of intellectual vitality in an empathic and supportive setting is built upon a theoretical foundation that comprises Self Psychology, Intersubjectivity theory, and Relational Theory.

CONTINUING EDUCATION
Are you interested in learning about self psychology and intersubjectivity? Perhaps you'd like to take your understanding to a deeper level? In the Fall of 2011 TRISP will inaugurate expanded educational opportunities designed to address the interests of beginning students as well as advanced and senior clinicians. Each program is one year long, and is composed of four courses in total. Courses, conducted by TRISP faculty, are taught seminar-style in private offices. Programs for clinicians include case discussion; there are also opportunities for individual supervision.

TRISP serves as the hub for a vibrant community of mental-health practitioners and non-clinicians, united by their interest in Self Psychology and Intersubjectivity and committed to advancing psychoanalytic theory and practice. The institute sponsors events for all interested members of the community.
